Job summary

The House Hotel in Galway is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support a busy hotel kitchen. Reporting to the Breakfast Chef, you will help ensure smooth morning service and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in both the kitchen and back-of-house areas.

Flexible to morning shifts, about 20 hours per week across five days, you will follow HACCP guidelines, handle crockery and waste, and work as part of a dedicated team to deliver excellent guest experiences.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Breakfast Chef, the Kitchen Porter will play a pivotal role in delivering on customer expectations.

This role is morning shifts only, approximately 20 hours per week over 5 days.

Requirements

• To carry out the kitchen standard operating procedures to the correct standard;
• Ensure the highest quality of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen and back of house areas;
• To remove all refuse from the kitchen and dispose of it in line with agreed procedures;
• To store all crockery, glassware and cutlery in accordance with departmental standards;
• To keep the pot wash area in a clean and organised manner ensuring that all pots, pans, etc. are stored in accordance with departmental standards;
• To ensure all duties are completed prior to going off duty;
• To follow the agreed HACCP standards as trained;
