Job summary

Kerry is offering an Accounting & Finance internship in Tralee, Ireland. Start date January 2027 for 9 months, on-site.

You will join a Corporate Finance team with exposure to Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury or Intellectual Property, gaining real finance experience in a global business. Applicants must be legally eligible to work full-time in Ireland.

Qualifications

  • Currently studying Accounting and Finance, Business, Maths, or Statistics.
  • On track for a 2:1 degree or equivalent.
  • Curious and organised; eager to learn.
  • Willing to explore AI and new technologies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Copilot.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in review and preparation of financial statements.
  • Coordinate queries between auditors, site accountants and the Group Financial Reporting team.
  • Upload signed and approved financial statements to our compliance database.
  • Prepare Interim Management Reports and stock exchange announcements.
  • Contribute to team projects and day-to-day priorities in Corporate Finance.

What You’ll Work On

As an Accounting & Finance Intern based in Tralee, you’ll join one of our Corporate Finance teams, which could include Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury or Intellectual Property. You’ll get exposure to real finance work in a global business, supporting activity that helps our teams make informed decisions and keep key reporting and compliance processes running smoothly.

  • Supporting the review and preparation of financial statements.
  • Helping coordinate queries between auditors, site accountants and the Group Financial Reporting team.
  • Uploading signed and approved financial statements to our compliance database.
  • Supporting the preparation of Interim Management Reports and stock exchange announcements.
  • Getting involved in team projects and day-to-day priorities that give you a wider view of Corporate Finance.
What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to have it all figured out. For this internship, we’re looking for someone who is curious, organised and ready to get involved.

  • Studying Accounting and Finance, Business, Maths, Statistics or a related degree, and on track for a 21 degree classification or equivalent.
  • Curious about how a global business works, and open to learning from the people around you.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of your work, while knowing when to ask questions or reach out for support.
  • Eager to explore AI and new technologies, and keen to use them to work smarter, solve real challenges and make a meaningful impact.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams, and Copilot.
  • Clear in how you communicate, whether you’re working with your team, sharing updates or managing priorities.
