Job summary

Glenveagh Properties PLC is hiring a Junior Estimator for its Maynooth Head Office. You will analyse project plans, prepare detailed cost estimates, tender submissions and BoQs, and collaborate with architects, engineers and suppliers to collect essential cost data.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field and 1+ years in estimating within construction or manufacturing. Proficiency with Causeway, Buildsoft, Cubit, CostX and Excel is essential.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
1+ years of relevant estimating experience in construction or manufacturing is preferred.
Proficient in estimating software (Causeway, Buildsoft, Cubit, CostX) and Excel.

Responsibilities

Analyse project plans, specifications and documents to prepare cost estimates.
Prepare tender submissions, BoQs and procurement schedules.
Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers for cost information.
Identify cost factors such as materials, labour and production time.
Monitor market trends in Ireland and Europe.
Collaborate with project managers and commercial teams during tender and post-tender phases.
Assess and manage risks; assist in value engineering and cost-control.
Maintain an estimating database and input to post-project reviews.
Prepare priced tenders and manage tender document inspections.
