Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd seeks a Junior Civil Estimator in Cork to support the Estimating and Commercial teams in preparing competitive bids for civil engineering projects. You will work with Estimators, Project Managers and Design Teams to gain exposure to the full tender process from reviews to bid submission.

This role suits graduates or early-career civil engineers, quantity surveyors or construction professionals looking to grow estimating and commercial skills within a growing engineering

Qualifications

• Graduate or early-career Civil Engineer, Quantity Surveyor or construction professional aiming to develop estimating skills.
• Experience or interest in civil engineering tendering and commercial processes would be beneficial.
• Ability to review drawings, specs and tender documentation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist Estimating team in preparing competitive civil tenders.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documentation.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and measurement of civil works.
• Prepare and maintain pricing schedules and cost build-ups.
• Obtain and review quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist with commercial analysis of subcontractor and supplier prices.
• Support tender submissions and documentation.
• Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions and opportunities.
• Maintain tender trackers and pricing information.
