Job summary

Glenveagh is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our projects team in Ireland. You will analyse plans, prepare cost estimates, and manage BoQs and procurement schedules to support delivery of exceptional homes and communities.

You will identify cost factors, assess risks, and contribute to value engineering while maintaining cost databases and reporting to site teams and stakeholders. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in estimating roles within construction or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Irish construction standards, procurement processes, and building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyse project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare tender submissions, BoQs, and procurement schedules.
• Identify and quantify cost factors such as production time, materials, and labour expenses.
• Assess and manage risks associated with potential projects.
• Assist in value engineering and cost-control exercises during project execution.
• Maintain a database of cost information and assist in post-project reviews.
• Update and manage estimating database on varying costs and material fluctuations.
• Report weekly and monthly data to site teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with public and stakeholders.
