Job summary

Select Roofing & Cladding Ltd. in Dublin is seeking a Junior Estimator to join our team and learn how roofing and cladding projects are understood, measured and priced.

You will work with an experienced Estimating Manager, review drawings, complete quantity take-offs and help prepare tenders, moving opportunities from tender documents into solid proposals.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical ability and close attention to detail.
• Good organisation and ability to meet deadlines.
• Clear communication and willingness to ask sensible questions.
• Proficiency in Excel and readiness to learn new systems.
• Interest in construction, estimating and commercial decision-making.
• Full driving licence and willingness to visit sites.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and tender information.
• Complete quantity take-offs and help build labour, material, plant and subcontractor costs.
• Request and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify missing information, inconsistencies, risks and tender queries.
• Maintain accurate tender files, trackers, assumptions and pricing records.
• Support tender submissions, clarifications, revisions and project handovers.
• Attend site visits and work with Estimating, Commercial, Design, Procurement and Operations.
• Build specialist knowledge of roofing and cladding systems through practical experience and training.
