Job summary

Matrix Recruitment Group is seeking an Estimator for our Dublin facility to support pre- and post-sales activities across multiple projects, providing accurate cost advice and detailed tender submissions. You will report to the Head of Estimating and collaborate with sales, marketing and other contractors to drive value.

Ideally you have a technical background in Architecture or Engineering, with 3 years’ contractor or PQS experience and a 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying or

Qualifications

• Technical background in Architecture or Engineering.
• 3 years’ experience with a contractor or PQS practice.
• 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics (Degree/Diploma).
• Familiarity with various contract forms.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage several projects and learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates, budgets and cost plans, including material, labour and equipment costs.
• Accurately measure façades and panelise schemes, reviewing tender documents, drawings, specifications and contracts.
• Analyse quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers and compile tender submissions.
• Attend pre-, mid- and post-tender meetings and provide cost advice to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and other contractors.
