Job summary

Engage People Recruitment is seeking an IT Project Manager in Galway on a permanent, hybrid arrangement (3 days in the office). The role focuses on delivering technically oriented IT projects across infrastructure, systems and migrations for financial services clients.

You will work closely with clients and technical teams to drive delivery, manage timelines, risks and deliverables, and own the delivery lifecycle rather than just coordinating activities.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of IT environments, networks and systems
• Ability to own delivery end-to-end and work with technical teams and clients

IT Project Manager

€60,000 + 10% Bonus

We're working with a growing consultancy in the west of Ireland that supports financial services clients on IT, risk, and regulatory projects. They're hiring an IT Project Manager to deliver hands‑on, technically focused projects - particularly across infrastructure, systems, and migrations.

This is not a traditional PMO or ops-heavy role. You'll need to understand IT environments and be comfortable working closely with technical teams and stakeholders.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading IT projects end-to-end (infrastructure changes, system upgrades, cloud and on-prem migrations, Regulatory change and Cybersecurity)
• Working directly with clients and technical teams to drive delivery
• Managing timelines, risks, and deliverables - not just reporting on them
• Supporting projects tied to IT risk, resilience, and regulatory requirements

What they're looking for:

• Experience delivering IT projects (or a Senior IT Business Analyst stepping into PM)
• Solid understanding of infrastructure, networks, and systems
• Background in technical projects like migrations or implementations
• Someone who can own delivery, not just coordinate
• Strong vendor management experince

Nice to have:

• Financial services or regulated environment experience
• Exposure to frameworks like DORA, NIS2, ISO 27001
• Hybrid role (Galway-based, 3 days onsite). Small bit of travel involved.
