Job summary

Realtime Recruitment is seeking a Senior Enterprise Integration Architect to own and evolve integration architecture across a complex, multi-platform environment in Ireland. You will define standards, guide major transformation programmes and ensure scalable, secure and resilient solutions while partnering with architecture and delivery teams.

You will lead design across APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging, ETL/ELT and service-based integration, and guide A2A, B2B and streaming

Qualifications

• 10+ years' IT experience with enterprise systems integration.
• Proven track record designing integration architectures in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns, API-led architecture, event-driven design and enterprise messaging.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure integration technologies.
• Experience with MuleSoft, TIBCO, IBM App Connect Enterprise, IBM MQ or similar platforms.
• Experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite or similar ERP integration framework.
• Experience with distributed or offshore engineering teams.
• A relevant third-level qualification.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve integration principles, standards, patterns and reference architectures.
• Design and govern complex integration solutions spanning APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging, ETL/ELT and service-based integration.
• Provide architecture leadership across major transformation and technology programmes.
• Guide teams delivering A2A, B2B and streaming integrations, using API-led, messaging and other appropriate integration approaches.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture and technology leadership to align integration strategy with wider IT objectives.
• Provide technical assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle and ensure architectural intent is maintained.
• Contribute to technology assessments, vendor selection and strategic technology decisions.
• Develop integration capability through standards, reusable patterns, knowledge sharing and technical mentoring.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior technology professional to take ownership of enterprise integration architecture within a complex, multi-platform environment.

Working alongside architecture, engineering and delivery teams, you will establish integration standards, guide major transformation programmes and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient and fit for purpose.

Key Accountabilities

• Define and evolve enterprise integration principles, standards, patterns and reference architectures.
• Design and govern complex integration solutions spanning APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging, ETL/ELT and service-based integration.
• Provide architecture leadership across major transformation and technology programmes.
• Guide teams delivering A2A, B2B and streaming integrations, using API-led, messaging and other appropriate integration approaches.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture and technology leadership to align integration strategy with wider IT objectives.
• Provide technical assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle and ensure architectural intent is maintained.
• Contribute to technology assessments, vendor selection and strategic technology decisions.
• Develop integration capability through standards, reusable patterns, knowledge sharing and technical mentoring.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly the impact of AI on integration and data architecture.
• Take a pragmatic, hands-on approach when required, supporting the development and testing of integration components.

Experience & Technical Expertise

You will bring:

• 10+ years' experience in IT, with significant expertise in enterprise systems integration.
• A proven track record designing integration architectures within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns, API-led architecture, event-driven design and enterprise messaging.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure integration technologies and enterprise integration platforms.
• Experience with technologies such as MuleSoft, TIBCO, IBM App Connect Enterprise, IBM MQ or comparable platforms.
• Experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite or a similar ERP integration framework.
• Experience working with distributed or offshore engineering teams.
• A relevant third-level qualification.
