The Role
In this role, you will provide cross-functional support across a range of activities within an SAP Business One manufacturing environment, working closely with management, business users and solutions providers. In this hands-on role you will report to, and be supported by the Group CFO whom has extensive experience in the implementation and use of SAP Business One and systems integrations. You will be involved in performing demos and proofs-of-concept for new projects and will scope and document existing and revised processes. You will also be a key contributor during project implementation, from requirements analysis and system configuration to test enablement and go-live support. This role will suit a candidate who has participated in a full life-cycle implementation or upgrade project of SAP Business One or similar ERP systems.
Responsibilities include
- You will be responsible for the specification, configuration, and documentation of processes in SAP Business One and other related supporting systems. Lead the development and UAT of proposed system enhancements and solutions.
- Providing formalised, continuing work direction and leadership to assigned teams to ensure timely and effective project execution.
- The IT Business Analyst will provide end-user support and training within the SAP software environment in the areas of sales, production, procurement, accounting, and finance.
- Driving continuous improvement, including proactively identifying opportunities to use SAP standard functionality, integrations, automation and other Business Systems to support business processes.
- Applies Analytical thinking and a solid understanding of business fundamentals to assist in creating suitable solutions to business challenges and requirements.
- Prepare and understand functional specifications for custom processes and integrations, and document appropriately.
- Successful candidates will work in a cross-functional manner with heads of department to keep abreast of operational issues and initiatives that can be supported by appropriate business systems and processes.
- Maintaining oversight of master data and transactions by end-users; generation of a suite of exception reports to support and control business processes
- Leads and manages the rollout of perquisites and enablers for project go-live, including TAS, BOM integrations, inventory ID stationery and scanning
- Run workshops with internal leaders, users, and consultants to analyse and design solutions for any business need and mitigate any deficits detected in a gap analysis
- Provide functional and technical support for existing and future implementations of SAP and related systems to business users and management
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve overall business outcomes, solving complex problems and identifying innovative solutions.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience with ERP support and implementation, ideally SAP Business One
- Strong functional knowledge of business systems and understanding of accounting, finance, and revenue accounting concepts
- Hands-on experience configuring and testing ERP, which includes but is not limited to Manufacturing, GL, AP, AR, Banking, Asset, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, etc.
- Proficient in designing and developing user training documentation, test plan, and test script development and execution.
- Bachelor's Degree and Equivalent Experience in IT, Accounting or Business
- Expert working knowledge of MS Office, SharePoint/Teams and MS Power tools
- Effective implementation of T-SQL queries and ODBC
