Job summary

Tirlán is seeking a Senior BI Business Analyst to convert data into actionable insights and drive strategic decisions. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting needs, build dashboards and data models, and deliver BI solutions across SAP BW, Datasphere BO and SAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 5+ years developing reporting solutions using SAP BW, Datasphere BO and SAC.
• Expertise in SAP BW, SAP BO Analysis for Excel and SAP SAC.
• Ability to translate complex data into BI solutions across multiple areas.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Tirlán, currently partnering with a 3rd party service provider for the provision of IT services, is on a significant IT transformation programme to stand up its own IT capability. The current focus is on enabling projects and will involve close collaboration with our partner. About this Role

Reporting to the IT Applications Manager, this role is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. The Senior BI Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, develop dashboards and data models, and deliver impactful BI solutions. The role combines technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to shape how data is used across the organisation.

What You’ll Do

• Liaise with business stakeholders to gather, document and refine requirements for reporting solutions, demonstrating an understanding of the business problem and the business data for the particular area in question.
• Develop and maintain data models, queries, and dashboards. Craft and develop queries upon request for data, create visualizations and reports to present information
• Optimize data flows and performance of BI reports
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across BI platforms
• Complete the development of SAP BW, Datasphere BO and SAC technologies to develop rich, interactive, visually striking graphics and data visualizations using large amounts of data
• Promote a data culture within the organization by advocating and implementing data education and literacy
• Advise business contacts of existing solutions to prevent duplication and support them to align with their counterparts across the organization
• Improve existing dashboards, reports, and data transformations
• Develop ad-hoc reporting and provide analytics services to support business decision-making processes
• Help define or revise business and project KPIs, and create supporting reporting and dashboards where needed
• Provide support to the development of training materials and training activities related to the BI tools and applications

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years’ experience in developing reporting solutions using SAP BW, Datasphere BO and SAC
• Expertise in SAP BW, SAP BO Analysis for Excel and SAP SAC
• Ability to collaborate and develop functional designs for solutions across multiple data areas, delivering business intelligence capabilities (eg: COPA, MM, IM, C4C, AR, AP, Product Costing etc)
• S4 Hana Embedded Analytics (CDS view) experience
• Proficiency in data modelling techniques and tools, ETL processes, and performance tuning
• Experience in designing and delivering high quality data visuals
• Experience of leveraging SAP Datasphere in technical architecture of solutions would be an advantage.
• Ability to take complex business processes and data and document into understandable artifacts
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
• Ability to represent and quantify business value provided by BI solutions across the enterprise
• Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Strong team player with a growth mindset
