Job summary

Covetrus Ireland is seeking a strategic Commercial Director to lead our commercial organisation in Ireland, overseeing Sales and Customer Service teams and driving sustainable growth across the Irish market. This leadership role demands a hands-on, performance-driven approach with a clear focus on profitability and customer outcomes.

You will partner with Operations, Finance and Purchasing, shaping vendor relationships and pricing strategy while setting ambitious targets for revenue and margin.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in a senior commercial leadership role.
• Direct management of field sales and customer service/inside sales teams.
• Strong experience in vendor/supplier negotiation and relationships.
• Commercial numeracy with P&L, margin and growth accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead Field Sales team: set targets, territories and performance standards.
• Direct Customer Service (Inside Sales): ensure order accuracy and meet KPIs, drive sales opportunities.
• Own vendor relationships: trading terms, rebates, promotional funding, range reviews.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance and Purchasing to ensure end-to-end commercial success.
• Develop and execute annual commercial growth plans for Ireland and monitor market dynamics.
