Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate detailed project finance models.
  • Assist in the preparation of fundraising materials.
  • Conduct detailed financial and market analysis.
  • Support investor interactions, Q&A, and reporting.
  • Contribute to capital raising processes and investor outreach.
  • Conduct detailed financial, commercial, and market analysis to support investment decision making.
  • Prepare investment memorandums and Investment Committee (IC) decks for new opportunities.
  • Work closely with the investment team to assess project returns, sensitivities, and risk factors.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and financial metrics post-investment.
  • Track market trends, policy changes, and industry developments within energy and sustainable infrastructure.
  • Using your experience of industrial power distribution systems to come up with added value for our clients
  • Support project requirements including basis-of-design narratives, cost estimates, drawing documentation, systems design, and technical specifications.
  • Engineering design to validate those solutions and detailed supporting calculations to back up those solutions

Job description

Astatine Limited is seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join our renewable energy development team as an Associate or Senior Associate. This role offers the opportunity to work on transactions across the renewable energy lifecycle — from early-stage development to construction and operation — supporting investment decisions and capital formation in a fast-growing sector.

The ideal candidate will bring strong financial and analytical skills, hands‑on experience in corporate and project finance, and a deep understanding of renewable energy or infrastructure investments.

  • Salary: Negotiable based on relevant experience
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Work from Astatine’s offices located in Guinness Enterprise Centre, Dublin 8 3/4 days a week minimum, otherwise work remotely/from home.
  • Contract Type: Full Time Contract
  • Working Hours: Full time – Mon to Friday
  • Reports to: Corporate Finance Manager
  • Responsibilities:
    • 1. Project Finance
    • Build and operate detailed project finance models to evaluate investment opportunities across our self‑developed and acquisition energy infrastructure pipeline (solar, wind, storage, gas etc.).
    • Support the team in overseeing the financial/technical due diligence process and transaction execution.
    • 2. Corporate Finance
    • Assist in the preparation of fundraising materials including investor presentations, information memorandums, and data room management.
    • Support investor interactions, Q&A, and reporting.
    • Contribute to capital raising processes and investor outreach.
    • 3. Investment Analysis & Execution
    • Conduct detailed financial, commercial, and market analysis to support investment decision making.
    • Prepare investment memorandums and Investment Committee (IC) decks for new opportunities.
    • Work closely with the investment team to assess project returns, sensitivities, and risk factors.
    • 4. Portfolio & Market Monitoring
    • Monitor portfolio performance and financial metrics post‑investment.
    • Track market trends, policy changes, and industry developments within energy and sustainable infrastructure.
    • Using your experience of industrial power distribution systems to come up with added value for our clients
    • Support project requirements including basis‑of‑design narratives, cost estimates, drawing documentation, systems design, and technical specifications.
    • Engineering design to validate those solutions and detailed supporting calculations to back up those solutions
  • 3–5 years of experience in project finance, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, renewable energy development or M&A Advisory.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills, with the ability to build, operate, and audit complex project finance models from scratch.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing investment memorandums, IC decks, and fundraising materials.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal — with confidence engaging investors and management teams.
  • Experience within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • Familiarity with the investment lifecycle from origination through to financial close.
  • Understanding of key financial instruments, risk allocation, and financing structures in project finance.
