Job summary

BDO Recruitment is seeking an Investment Associate for a fast-growing, private equity-backed renewable energy business in Ireland. The role involves building and maintaining investment models and supporting financing decisions alongside the Investment Manager and CFO.

You’ll work on project and corporate level investment cases, with exposure to senior management, lenders and advisors, and you’ll join a team with a strong emphasis on commercial judgement and deal execution.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 3–5 years’ experience in Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Investment Banking or similar transaction-focused environment
• Strong advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
• Good commercial judgement and ability to challenge assumptions
• Renewable energy or Project Finance experience is advantageous

• Support investment cases, acquisitions and financing at project and Group level

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed renewable energy business as an Investment Associate, working closely with the Investment Manager and CFO across modelling, transactions, financing and commercial decision-making.

Who we are seeking

• Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• 3–5 years’ relevant experience in Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Investment Banking or similar
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
• Strong commercial judgement and confidence challenging assumptions
• Renewable energy or Project Finance experience is advantageous
