Job description

About the Company

We are a growing renewable energy company committed to accelerating Ireland’s transition to a clean, sustainable future. Our portfolio spans onshore wind, solar PV, and battery energy storage projects across Ireland. We are a passionate, purpose-driven team and are looking for people who share our ambition to make a real difference.

Role Summary

We are looking for an office-based Asset Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day technical and commercial performance of our operating portfolio of onshore wind assets. This is a pivotal role within the business, ensuring our assets operate safely, reliably, and profitably, and that our contractual and reporting obligations are met. The role would suit an experienced asset manager, or someone already working in the renewables sector - full support and development will be provided. The successful candidate will be organised, analytical, and comfortable working with site managers, contractors, and senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, growing renewable energy company. We are actively embedding AI into how we manage our assets - from reporting and data analysis to workflow automation - and we are looking for someone who wants to help shape that, not just work around it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor turbine availability, faults, and outages across the portfolio, coordinating timely diagnosis and resolution to minimise downtime and lost production
  • Prepare monthly production tracking and validation reporting and investigating any discrepancies
  • Track contractor performance against availability guarantees, and manage warranty claims and liquidated damages entitlements
  • Act as the day-to-day interface with site managers and Operation & Maintenance providers, building strong working relationships and ensuring issues are escalated and resolved efficiently
  • Issue timely availability and planned/unplanned maintenance notifications to trading partners to support accurate forecasting
  • Maintain accurate asset records and documentation
  • Provide input into O&M contracts, asset management agreements, and site-level agreements, ensuring contractual obligations are tracked and delivered
  • Design and maintain portfolio KPI frameworks covering availability, losses and dispatch down, presenting performance insights to senior management
  • Lead data/SCADA implementation & AI projects, identifying opportunities to use tools to improve data quality, monitoring capability, and reporting automation across the portfolio
  • Support the onboarding of newly acquired sites, integrating them into the company’s asset management systems, processes, and reporting
  • Track and report ESG performance metrics, supporting the company’s sustainability reporting and compliance obligations
Essential Requirements
  • Experience in renewable energy asset management, or experience in the renewables sector (e.g. operations, O&M, engineering, commercial, or analytical roles) with a strong desire to build a career in asset management
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with operational data, with the ability to interrogate performance figures and identify issues
  • A degree in engineering, science or a numerical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with contractors, site managers, and senior stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office Suite
  • Curiosity about AI and a willingness to use it well - a genuine interest in applying tools such as Claude to real work, alongside the judgement to know when outputs need to be checked, challenged, or done the traditional way
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Sound commercial judgement and an understanding of contractual obligations and performance guarantees (desirable)
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities across a multi-site portfolio
Desirable Requirements
  • Direct experience managing operating wind, solar, or battery storage assets
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and data analysis or visualisation tools
  • Hands-on experience using AI assistants such as Claude or Microsoft Copilot in a work setting - for example building reusable prompts or skills, automating recurring reporting, or interrogating operational datasets
  • Familiarity with energy market settlement processes
  • Knowledge of O&M contract structures and availability guarantees
  • Understanding of the Irish electricity market (SEM), grid connection arrangements, and dispatch down/curtailment
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary and benefits package including pension contribution and healthcare
  • Hybrid working arrangement with a modern, collaborative office environment
  • 23 days annual leave plus public holidays
  • Genuine career development opportunities within a growing organisation
  • Full access to AI tooling, including Claude and Microsoft Copilot licences, and an active internal community sharing prompts, skills, and automations across the business
  • A purpose-driven culture where your work contributes directly to Ireland’s clean energy future
  • A supportive, inclusive, and energetic team
