Key responsibilities will include:

- Administering the organisation's core HRIS across a portfolio of more than 50 locations.
- Maintaining user access, approval levels and system permissions.
- Ensuring employee data and system configurations remain accurate and appropriately controlled.
- Supporting GDPR compliance through effective access restrictions and data governance.
- Configuring employment contracts, templates and employee documentation within the system.
- Maintaining and enhancing automated starter packs and onboarding processes.

- Introducing clearer processes to improve the management of HR queries.
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen self-service content and automate routine activity.
- Maintaining user guidance and supporting consistent adoption across the HR function.
HR operations and policy management
- Maintaining the central HR policy and document repository.
- Ensuring policies, guidance and process documentation remain current and accessible.
- Supporting consistent HR processes across a geographically dispersed organisation.
- Preparing user guides, process maps and other operational materials.
- Providing additional HR operational capacity as priorities evolve.
Payroll-related project support
- Working with the Shared Services team on HR and payroll-related projects.
- Providing HR process guidance where payroll activity is affected by employment legislation or policy.
- Translating legislative and policy requirements into clear operational processes.
- Supporting the resolution of gaps or issues spanning HR systems and payroll.

- Managing a varied portfolio of short-term and ad hoc HR projects.
- Developing clear project plans, actions, responsibilities and timelines.
- Tracking progress and communicating updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Reviewing existing processes and recommending practical improvements.
- Supporting the implementation and documentation of new ways of working.
The person
The successful individual will be comfortable operating across systems administration, HR operations and structured project work. They will bring sound HR knowledge, strong attention to detail and a practical, delivery-focused approach.
This role requires someone willing to engage directly with detailed transactional and administrative activity, alongside broader project and process improvement work.
Experience
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Relevant experience in HR operations, HR systems, HR project management or a comparable role.
- Strong working knowledge of HRIS administration, including permissions, approvals, data integrity and system configuration.
- Experience of HR ticketing, case management or employee self-service platforms; exposure to Zendesk would be advantageous.

- Experience supporting payroll-related processes or working with payroll and shared services teams.
- Knowledge of GDPR requirements and appropriate HR data controls.
