An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Specialist to join a fast-paced corporate environment on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a varied role combining HR operations, payroll support and Executive Assistant responsibilities.
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day HR function, with additional responsibility for providing diary and administrative support to a senior Finance leader.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations
- Manage queries and requests through the HR inbox.
- Support the end-to-end recruitment process.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, including contracts, background checks, references and pre-employment documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records on Workday.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Business Partner and assist with HR projects.
- Support the administration of employee leave and HR processes.
Payroll & Benefits Support
- Provide payroll cover when required, supporting the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll.
- Assist with salary, bonus and salary sacrifice processing.
- Ensure payroll activities comply with relevant statutory requirements and internal controls.
- Liaise with external payroll providers and review payroll outputs.
- Maintain accurate payroll and employee data.
- Support the administration of pensions, healthcare, life assurance, income protection and other employee benefits.
- Respond to employee payroll and benefits queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Proactively manage a senior Finance Director's complex and dynamic diary.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings across multiple stakeholders and time zones.
- Anticipate diary conflicts and manage changes efficiently.
- Ensure appropriate preparation time is built into the schedule.
- Provide high-level administrative support in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years' experience across HR.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and Irish statutory requirements.
- Previous experience within a regulated environment, ideally insurance or financial services.
- Hands-on experience using Workday is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent data handling and Excel skills.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proven experience managing a complex diary in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
