Job summary

Primtac Personnel LTD is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder / Sales Executive to join a growing logistics business in Ireland. The role focuses on Sea Freight imports/exports, building B2B relationships, and delivering tailored freight solutions. Sales training will be provided within a supportive team.

You will coordinate shipments, quote customers, and liaise with partners to ensure smooth operations and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Freight Forwarding.
• Strong Sea Freight experience is essential.
• Air Freight and/or Road Freight experience desirable.
• Knowledge of import/export procedures.
• Experience with B2B customers in freight, logistics or related industry.
• Good general knowledge of goods and freight movements.
• Strong communication skills with confidence to speak with customers, suppliers and logistics partners.
• Willing to learn and expand knowledge across different areas of freight and logistics.
• Ambitious and motivated with drive to progress within the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate Sea Freight import and export shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Act as a key point of contact for business-to-business customers, providing a professional and responsive service.
• Develop relationships with new and existing clients to identify potential business opportunities.
• Gather accurate information from customers to understand their shipping requirements and provide suitable freight solutions.
• Prepare quotations and follow up with prospective and existing customers.
• Prepare and send invoices.
• Liaise with shipping lines, agents, hauliers and other logistics partners to coordinate shipments.
• Monitor shipments and keep customers updated throughout the transport process.
• Handle relevant freight documentation and ensure shipment information is accurate and up to date.
• Work closely with internal operations and sales teams to provide a smooth service to customers.
• Develop a strong understanding of customer requirements, general goods and different freight solutions.
• Identify opportunities to grow accounts and generate additional business.

• Ambitious and motivated, with a genuine drive to progress and move up within the business.
