Job summary

SpringCare Independent Living Limited in Naas is seeking a caring, motivated Support Worker to join our team in a community-based independent living setting. You will support adults to live as independently as possible, promote dignity, and encourage personal autonomy.

The role includes delivering person-centred care, assisting with daily living tasks, and contributing to individual support plans. Weekend and evening work may be required to meet residents' needs.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support that promotes independence and dignity.
• Assist with daily living tasks, personal care, and household activities as outlined in support plans.
• Offer emotional support and companionship, encouraging community involvement and social connections.
• Administer medication safely and document all care provided using the required systems.
• Contribute to developing and reviewing individual support plans and act as Key Worker when needed.
• Support residents with budgeting, banking, and maintaining everyday living skills.
• Accompany individuals on holidays or outings when required.
• Work flexibly, use initiative, and maintain positive relationships with families, services, and professionals.
• Help ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the home.
