Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client currently have a requirement for a suitably skilled ICT Project Manager – Configuration and RBAC.
This is a temporary position; the initial contract duration is for 12 months with the possibility of extension thereafter. This location for this position is flexible (must be in Ireland) and is also working off a hybrid model, and you must be able to attend meetings when required.
Based off a 35-hour work week the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €33.52 based off an annualised salary of €61.219.00 and will accrue 30 days’ annual leave per year along with public holidays.

Key responsibilities:
Configuration Management
- Lead and coordinate the configuration activities across programme workstreams.
- Work with operational, clinical and technical stakeholders to gather and validate configuration requirements.
- Ensure workflows, forms, templates and system settings are configured to align with agreed service and business processes.
- Support configuration governance, change control and release management processes.
- Maintain configuration documentation and ensure configuration standards are consistently applied.
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Lead the implementation and governance of RBAC models.
- Work with clinical and operational stakeholders to define and maintain user roles, permissions and access profiles.
- Ensure access arrangements support safe clinical practice while complying with information governance and data protection requirements.
- Oversee processes for user provisioning, access reviews and role validation.
- Support audit and assurance activities relating to user access and security controls.
- Support programme leadership in the planning, governance and delivery of configuration, RBAC workstreams.
- Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, issue logs and dependency trackers.
- Monitor milestones, deliverables and implementation activities within the area of responsibility assigned.
- Provide regular progress reports, updates and assurance documentation to programme level.
- Contribute to programme documentation, business cases and implementation plans.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build productive relationships with clinical, operational, ICT, information governance and supplier stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and engagement sessions to support configuration design and access management mechanisms.
- Translate technical concepts into clear and understandable information for non-technical audiences.
- Promote collaboration across programme teams and community services.
Testing, Deployment & Readiness
- Coordinate configuration and user acceptance testing activities.
- Support operational readiness and go-live planning.
- Ensure issues identified during testing are appropriately managed and resolved.
- Work closely with training, change management and operational teams to support successful implementation.
- Contribute to post-implementation reviews and lessons learned activities.
- Ensure compliance with policies, information governance standards and programme governance requirements.
- Maintain oversight of risks, issues and dependencies within the configuration and RBAC workstream.
- Support audits, reviews and assurance processes.
- Provide guidance and support to staff where appropriate.
- Foster a collaborative, professional and continuous improvement culture.
- Support knowledge sharing and capability development across programme teams.
- Line-manages project staff, oversee daily operations of configuration and RBAC workstream, and ensures accurate timesheet tracking to maintain team performance and project delivery.
Experience:
- Experience managing complex stakeholders across clinical, operational and technical environments.
- Experience in system configuration, or business process design.
- Experience supporting user access management, RBAC frameworks or information governance processes.
- Experience managing project plans, risks, issues and governance reporting.
- Experience delivering healthcare ICT, Electronic Health Record (EHR), Electronic Patient Record (EPR) or digital transformation projects.
Skills and knowledge:
- Strong project and programme management skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare information systems and digital health programmes.
- Understanding of RBAC principles, information governance and data protection requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, planning and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work across clinical, operational and technical teams.
- Experience preparing governance papers, reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
