Job summary

Electricity Supply Board (ESB) in Dublin is seeking a Buyer to support procurement across the ESB Group for goods and services from €5k-€300k. You will drive value, ensure compliance, and uphold ethics while working in a hybrid environment with flexible in-office and remote arrangements.

The role requires at least 12 months of business experience, strong communication and MS Office proficiency, and a willingness to undertake a Procurement qualification.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months work experience in a business environment.
• High levels of commitment, judgement and interpersonal skills are required for the role.
• Excellent communication skills.
• An excellent working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• If required, the successful candidate must be prepared to undertake a qualification in Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Manage tenders and quick quote processes including the tender evaluation process in conjunction with the business and in line with ESB Procedures.
• Develop close working relationship with internal customers while providing exemplary customer service.
• Administering a procurement shared mailbox.
• SAP contract management and SAP SRM administration.
• Supplier relationship management.
• Supplier identification & sourcing.
• Identifying areas for process improvement.
