Job summary

Electricity Supply Board is seeking a Cables Package Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of high voltage export cables for ESB and JV offshore wind projects in Ireland and the UK, covering onshore and offshore scopes.

You will oversee planning, procurement, engineering coordination, manufacturing oversight, installation management, and handover, interfacing with suppliers, contractors, regulators, and grid partners to ensure safe, on-schedule, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

Experience delivering large-scale offshore wind or subsea cable projects.
Strong understanding of HV export cable design, manufacturing, and installation.
Experience managing complex EPC or multi-contract delivery structures.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across onshore and offshore environments.
Strong commercial acumen and contract management capability.
Willingness to travel to supplier facilities, offshore vessels, and onshore construction sites.
Chartered Engineer Status.

Responsibilities

Lead the full lifecycle delivery of the cable packages, from concept and design through installation, commissioning, and handover.
Develop and manage package plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and interfaces to ensure successful project execution for both onshore and offshore workstreams.
Oversee the design development of offshore and onshore cable systems, landfall works, grid connection interfaces, ensuring compliance with project technical, environmental and marine licensing requirements.
Manage the procurement, contracting, and performance of cable suppliers and installation contractors throughout manufacturing, testing, logistics, and installation.
Provide oversight of cable manufacturing, quality assurance, testing, certification, and compliance activities to ensure the highest delivery standards.
Manage and direct onshore and offshore installation and civil works construction activities, ensuring safe execution in accordance with CDM and local regulations.
Act as the key stakeholder interface for onshore and offshore export cable works, providing governance, performance reporting, risk management, and coordination across project teams, contractors, regulators, and grid connection partners.
