Job summary

ESB Engineering and Major Projects seeks a lead engineer to oversee onshore HV export cable systems, from early design through handover. You will drive technical leadership, ensure standards compliance, and manage interfaces with civil and offshore systems.

The role requires 7+ years in HV underground cable engineering, Chartered status, and a valid driving licence. Hybrid working in Dublin with core site attendance is available.

Qualifications

• Extensive HV underground cable engineering experience.
• Experience with onshore cable routes and regulatory standards.
• Chartered Engineer status or eligibility.
• Full driving licence and own car.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, specification, and engineering assurance of the underground HV export cable system.
• Oversee onshore cable route development and civil interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, CIGRE and statutory requirements.
