Qualifications

Avril Clare Recruitment ltd is delighted to have been retainted by Lansdowne Partnerhship to recruit a Human Resources Manager on a part-time basis 3 days per week on site ("No WFH")

Reports To: Managing Director / General Manager

Employment Type: Part-Time

Salary Range (SME Ireland): (depending on experience and qualifications).

My client is a leading licensed real estate company operating across the residential property sector. Established in 1998, my client has built a strong reputation as a market leader in residential sales, lettings, and property management services.

As a progressive and people-focused employer, my client is now seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to join the team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the continued growth and success of the business while fostering a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

Role Purpose

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for leading all HR activities across the organisation, ensuring compliance with Irish employment legislation while supporting business growth through effective people management. The role combines strategic HR leadership with hands‑on operational support in areas such as employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and policy development.

Key Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide professional HR advice and support to managers and employees.
  • Support workforce planning, organisational development, and change management initiatives.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture that reflects company values.
Employee Relations
  • Manage disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance processes.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and provide guidance on employee relations matters.
  • Support managers in resolving workplace issues and fostering employee engagement.
  • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and employee wellbeing.
Employment Law & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks, contracts, and HR policies.
  • Advise management on employment law matters and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and confidentiality requirements relating to employee records.
Recruitment, Talent & Development
  • Manage recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Identify training and development needs across the business.
  • Support succession planning, performance reviews, and employee retention initiatives.
  • Develop programmes that enhance employee engagement and capability.
HR Operations
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting systems.
  • Liaise with payroll providers and support compensation and benefits administration.
  • Produce management reports and HR metrics to support decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Employment Law, or a related discipline.
  • CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management or equivalent professional HR qualification.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
  • Chartered MCIPD or FCIPD membership.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Employment Law, Industrial Relations, Workplace Investigations, or Mediation.

Experience
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Human Resources.
  • At least 2 years in an HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role.
  • Experience working within a small or medium-sized business environment.
  • Proven experience managing employee relations cases and workplace investigations.
  • Experience developing HR policies and implementing HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting organisational growth and change initiatives.
  • Experience managing multi-site operations.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Sound judgement and decision-making capability.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
