Job summary

FRS Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Generalist in Co. Meath to deliver a professional HR service across the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you will help implement HR strategies, support managers, ensure compliance with employment legislation, and contribute to attraction, development, engagement and retention of employees. Qualifications

  • Degree in HR management, business management or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years HR experience including employee relations.
  • Experience advising managers on policies and employment legislation.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment law.
  • Healthcare/social care/not-for-profit sector experience desirable but not essential.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations.
  • Experience with HR systems and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support managers in employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability, and performance issues.
  • Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees in line with policies and employment legislation.
  • Assist in maintaining positive employee relations and promoting engagement, respect, and inclusion.
  • Support the resolution of workplace issues in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.
  • Support the recruitment and selection process to attract high-calibre candidates.
  • Coordinate recruitment campaigns, interviews, onboarding, and pre-employment checks.
  • Develop and maintain effective recruitment pipelines to meet staffing requirements.
  • Support learning and development initiatives aligned with organizational needs.
  • Identify training requirements and collaborate with managers to support employee development.
  • Assist in monitoring mandatory training compliance and professional development programmes.
  • Contribute to succession planning and talent development initiatives.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently across services.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies to reflect legislative and organizational changes.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support HR reporting and analysis.
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews as required.
  • Ensure adherence to GDPR and confidentiality requirements regarding employee information.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention.
  • Assist in analyzing workforce trends and HR metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with managers to address workforce challenges and support service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of staff retention strategies.
  • Assist the Head of HR in delivering strategic HR projects and organizational change initiatives.
  • Represent the HR Department at meetings and working groups as required.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Undertake other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Head of HR.

Job description

Salary: €80,000 - €90,000 plus pension, bonus and 25 days AL

Hybrid working: 4 days office based, 1 day remote.

Location: Co. Meath

Reporting to the Head of HR, this role will support in delivering a professional, responsive, and high-quality Human Resources service across the organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing HR strategies, supporting managers, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and contributing to the attraction, development, engagement, and retention of employees.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Third-level qualifications in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years' HR experience, with experience in employee relations and generalist HR activities.
  • Experience advising managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning activities.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice.
  • Previous experience within the healthcare, social care, disability, or not-for-profit sectors desirable but not essential.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations.
  • Experience with HR systems and workforce reporting.
