Barden is delighted to be supporting a growing renewable energy business as they look to add an HR Assistant to their People team on an initial 6-month contract.
Based in Cork City Centre, this is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional with 1–2 years’ experience who is ready to broaden their experience and gain exposure to a fast-paced, multi-country HR function.
Working closely with the HR Generalist and Head of HR, you’ll play an important role in keeping the day-to-day people operations running smoothly. It’s a varied role with plenty of opportunity to get involved across the full employee lifecycle, recruitment, HR systems, payroll support and HR projects.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Managing end-to-end employee lifecycle administration, including contracts, offer letters, probation tracking and leaver processes across Ireland, the UK and Spain
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records across the HRIS
- Coordinating onboarding for new starters, ensuring a consistent and positive experience across all locations
- Managing annual leave, absence and other employee data, identifying and flagging any relevant trends
- Supporting payroll preparation by ensuring accurate HR data is collated and provided on time
- Processing employee changes including contract amendments, salary changes and role updates
- Coordinating recruitment activity across Ireland, the UK and Spain, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communications and liaising with agencies and job boards
- Preparing employment documentation and coordinating pre-employment checks, including references and right-to-work verification
- Supporting HR compliance and ensuring employee records are maintained appropriately across multiple jurisdictions
- Assisting with HR reporting, data analysis and ad hoc reporting requirements
- Acting as a first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries from employees and managers
- Getting involved in wider HR projects and initiatives as the business continues to grow
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- 1-2 years experience in HR administration, HR coordination or a similar People-focused role
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working across different jurisdictions and adapting to varying local requirements
- Good working knowledge of HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- A high level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential employee information
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage your own workload in a busy environment
- A strong communicator who is comfortable dealing with employees, managers and external stakeholders
- Experience within professional services, energy or another regulated environment would be an advantage, but is not essential
