Job summary

Barden | B Corp in Cork City Centre is hiring an HR Assistant on an initial 6-month contract. The role supports the HR Generalist and Head of HR in day-to-day operations across Ireland, the UK and Spain, handling lifecycle administration, onboarding, payroll data, and compliance.

You will contribute to a busy People team, coordinating recruitment, HR systems, and reporting while maintaining confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in HR administration or HR coordination
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working across different jurisdictions and adapting to varying local requirements
• Good working knowledge of HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel
• High level of discretion and professionalism handling confidential information
• Proactive and self-motivated with ability to manage workload in a busy environment
• Strong communicator with employees, managers and external stakeholders
• Experience in professional services, energy or regulated environment would be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle administration across Ireland, the UK and Spain.
• Maintain accurate HR records in the HRIS and ensure data integrity.
• Coordinate onboarding for new starters for consistency across locations.
• Manage annual leave, absences and other employee data, flag trends.
• Support payroll preparation by providing accurate HR data on time.
• Process changes including contracts, salary updates and role changes.
• Coordinate recruitment activities across multiple jurisdictions and liaise with agencies.
• Prepare employment documents and coordinate pre-employment checks.
• Support HR compliance and maintain records across jurisdictions.
• Assist with HR reporting and ad hoc data analysis.
• Serve as first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries from staff and managers.
• Get involved in HR projects as the business grows
