Job summary

Apleona Ireland is seeking a HSEQ and Waste Compliance Specialist to join our Dundalk-based team on a Monday–Friday pattern from 8:00 to 16:30, in the Co Louth area. You will support the Compliance Programme, oversee EHS/Quality systems, and manage waste streams to meet KPI targets.

Ideal candidates will have a recognised H&S qualification (Level 7 or higher), 2+ years in a regulated setting, strong communication and leadership skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Recognised H&S qualification (minimum Level 7)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a regulated environment
• Familiar with Irish EHS legal framework
• Flexible approach and team player

Responsibilities

• Support the Compliance Programme to ensure SOW and KPI requirements are met
• Govern EHS and Quality Management systems on client site
• Manage waste compliance including hazardous & biohazardous streams
• Assist to implement proactive risk assessment, hazard control and risk mitigation strategies
• Handle Accident and Incident reporting, root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Identify, report, investigate and track deviations and non-conformances
• Carry out internal audits and support third‑party audits
• Consult with site team and client
• Support training programmes and maintain records
• Maintain GDP & GMP documents including SOPs and work instructions
• Promote a positive safety culture and EHS promotions
• Compile and present KPI compliance reports
• Act as the point of contact between Apleona and client on HSEQ, Waste and Compliance
• Administer online systems such as Flex Manager and Eco Online
• Drive best practice through innovation, cost efficiency and continuous improvement

Apleona Ireland is looking for colleagues to join the team as HSEQ and Waste Compliance Specialist in Dundalk, Co Louth area

Working pattern: Monday to Friday from 8:00-16:30

Main duties and responsibilities

• Support the Compliance Programme for Apleona on client site to ensure SOW and KPI requirements are consistently met
• Day-to-day governance of the EHS and Quality Management systems for Apleona providing support for Managers
• Manage waste compliance; including hazardous & biohazardous waste streams
• Support the implementation of proactive risk assessment, hazard control and risk mitigation strategies for tasks managed by Apleona
• Accident and Incident reporting & investigating, root cause analysis and identification and tracking of corrective and preventive actions
• Identifying, reporting, investigating and tracking deviations and non-conformances with contract requirements
• Carrying out internal audits and participating in and supporting third party audits
• Consulting with the Apleona site team and adopting collaborative engagement with the client
• Support and monitor the Apleona training programme, including scheduling training, delivering training and maintaining up to date records
• Maintaining documents and records in accordance with GDP & GMP requirements – to include SOPs, Work Instructions and more
• Promote a positive safety culture (e.g. through routine EHS walkdowns & EHS promotions)
• Compile and present reports of compliance with KPI targets
• Act as the point of contact between Apleona and client on all HSEQ, Waste and Compliance matters

Qualifications and experience

• A recognised qualification in H&S (minimum level 7)
