Job summary

Crosscare Housing Team seeks a Housing Case Worker to support residents in the Drumcondra area. You will assess housing needs, identify options and help residents secure suitable properties while coordinating safety checks and tenancy requirements.

You will manage viewings, negotiate rents with landlords, assist with HAP applications and ensure residents understand tenancy agreements. The role requires a 7-day rota, including evenings and weekends, in a community-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in social care or related field (NQF 7)
• Addiction Studies degree (full degree) preferred
• Professional Diploma in Housing studies (Level 8) preferred
• Minimum 1 year in homelessness/housing or 5 years in a related role with relevant training

Responsibilities

• Admit residents and provide full induction
• Assess housing needs and identify suitable options
• Assist with tenancy setup, viewings and landlord negotiations
• Explain HAP and tenancy terms to residents
• Support tenancy sustainment and liaise with external services
