COPE Galway in Galway City is seeking a Project Worker to join our Homeless Services. You will carry a key working caseload, helping individuals and families source and secure accommodation while addressing health and care needs within a trauma-informed, supportive team.

This role offers rotation across services, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to contribute to longer-term housing outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.

Competenze

• Minimum of two years experience working with vulnerable communities.
• A recognised third-level qualification (minimum level 8) in social care/related field or CORU registered social care worker.
• A full clean driving licence and access to own car.

Mansioni

• Process referrals to the service.
• Conduct assessments in a professional, sensitive and appropriate manner.
• Support clients to source and secure accommodation including helping move to long-term housing.
• Assist clients to access local services such as medical, welfare, training, education and employment.
• Provide practical support and assistance to clients and address health and safety needs.
• Engage with and facilitate access to housing, health, welfare, education and training and leisure services.
• Work in partnership with clients, promoting self-advocacy and, when necessary, advocate on the client’s behalf.
• Contribute to embedding COPE Galway values and a trauma-informed approach.
