Job summary

Mespil Hotel is seeking an experienced Accommodation Supervisor to join the Accommodation Team on-site in Dublin. The role focuses on leading the team, maintaining room and public area standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

The successful candidate will manage training, liaise with maintenance and reception, and uphold security, hygiene, and sustainability procedures across the department.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer care skills.
• Experience in Accommodation Supervision from similar style properties.
• Experience with Opera or another Front Office Management system.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on their own initiative.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accommodation department runs smoothly while on duty.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedrooms, corridors and public areas to hotel standards.
• Schedule and sign off on on-the-job training for accommodation staff.
• Assist the accommodation manager with staff training.
• Manage guest laundry procedures and ensure correct charges.
• Conduct regular stock takes and audit results.
• Handle lost property per hotel policy and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Communicate with maintenance to ensure day-to-day property upkeep.
• Liaise with reception to update on room availability after inspections.
• Coordinate with other departments in a professional manner.
• Follow hotel security procedures and ensure personal safety standards.
• Oversee recycling procedures and waste disposal.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and grooming standards.
