Job summary

The Great National Ballykisteen Hotel at Limerick Junction, Tipperary invites applications for an Operations Manager to lead the hotel's daily operations at a senior level. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee front office, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance and other operational areas, driving guest satisfaction and efficiency with a hands-on approach and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field; master's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in hotel operations with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, trends and best practices.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate teams and drive guest satisfaction.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible to work varied shifts and weekends.
• Knowledge of cash handling and accounting procedures.
• Hands-on approach and professional presentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee activities of front office, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance and other ops.
• Manage daily hotel operations with focus on F&B and Front Office.
• Drive guest satisfaction by maintaining service standards.
• Address guest concerns and pro-actively enhance experience.
• Allocate resources and manage costs within budget.
• Recruit, train and mentor department heads and staff.
• Lead weekly HOD meetings and plan actions.
• Complete annual appraisals and career progression plans.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
• Monitor quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare reports on operations, financials and guest satisfaction.
• Analyse data to identify trends and improvements.
