Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous relevant experience; on-the-job training provided.
• Care of the patient comes first; flexibility and enthusiasm to make this a reality for every patient.
• Good command of the English language.
• Observe hospital policies and procedures on discretion and confidentiality relating to patients and/or families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Report for duty on time and dressed in the correct uniform of the Accommodation Services Department.
• Responsible for cleanliness and hygiene of a given area.
• Practice infection control measures as required.
• Perform opening and closing duties as required.
• Be responsible for a safe working environment.
• Ensure good hand hygiene practices.
• Participate in deep cleaning.
• Practice safe chemical handling and storage techniques.
• Ensure patients and visitors are treated in a courteous manner at all times.
• Ensure all equipment is kept in good working order and report any maintenance issues.
• Work co-operatively with fellow colleagues, practicing team spirit and contributing to smooth operation of the Accommodation Services Department.
• Attend training courses and meetings as required.
