Blackrock Health Galway Clinic has full and part-time positions available in their accommodation department.

The Candidate:

• Previous relevant experience but on the job training will be provided.
• The person holding this post is required to support the principle that the care of the patient comes first at all times and will approach their work with the flexibility and enthusiasm necessary to make this principle a reality for every patient to the greatest possible degree.
• Good command of the English language
• To observe the Hospitals policies and procedures on discretion and confidentiality relating to patients and/or their families and colleagues.

• To be responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of a given area including patient bedrooms.
• Change ward curtains and bed screens as required.
• To be responsible for a safe working environment.
• To practice safe chemical handling and storage techniques.
• To ensure all equipment is kept in good working order and to report any maintenance issues.
• Due to the nature of the position some heavy lifting duties may be required.
• Collection and removal of soiled linen to designated areas.
