Qualifications

Observe hospital policies and procedures on discretion and confidentiality relating to patients and/or families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Report for duty on time and dressed in the correct uniform of the Accommodation Services Department.
Responsible for cleanliness and hygiene of a given area.
Practice infection control measures as required.
Perform opening and closing duties as required.
Be responsible for a safe working environment.
Ensure good hand hygiene practices.
Participate in deep cleaning.
Practice safe chemical handling and storage techniques.
Ensure patients and visitors are treated in a courteous manner at all times.
Ensure all equipment is kept in good working order and report any maintenance issues.
Work co-operatively with fellow colleagues, practicing team spirit and contributing to smooth operation of the Accommodation Services Department.
Attend training courses and meetings as required.

The Candidate

The person holding this post is required to support the principle that the care of the patient comes first at all times and will approach their work with the flexibility and enthusiasm necessary to make this principle a reality for every patient to the greatest possible degree.
