Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an enthusiastic highway engineer to lead technical delivery from feasibility to construction across roads projects in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

You will manage multi-disciplinary design teams, liaise with clients, prepare fee proposals and budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and QA standards. The role offers hybrid working and opportunities for Chartership progression at a global firm.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of highway design and/or drainage across project life cycle.
• Experience leading design disciplines in road/public transport projects.
• Proficiency with Civils 3D/OpenRoads/InfoDrainage/PDS software.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery of highway consultancy services from feasibility to construction.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs and manage project budgets and timelines.
• Liaise with clients, manage expectations, and provide design reviews.
• Lead or contribute to design drawings, bills of quantities, and tender packages.
• Ensure health, safety and QA compliance; support team resource planning.
