Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Deputy Project Manager/Principal Engineer for their Ireland Roads team. You will lead design initiatives for major national road schemes and support local authority transport improvements across Ireland.

The role requires degree qualification in civil engineering, chartered status or equivalent, and a proven track record in project management of highway projects. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with clients to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering and membership of a professional engineering institution.
• Experience in Civil engineering or roads projects.
• Experience delivering major road schemes and local authority transport improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support on Major Road schemes including task delivery, analysis, briefing plans, progress reports, and invoicing.
• Support the Project Manager with contract, change, risk and resource management, earned value analysis, and project reviews.
• Capably lead a team of project staff, providing professional guidance and coaching to raise capability.
• Take ownership of personal development and identify training opportunities with a mentor to progress your career.
