Job summary

WSP is seeking an enthusiastic Civil Engineer to lead highway consultancy projects across Ireland and Northern Ireland, from feasibility through to construction. You will manage multi-disciplinary design teams, coordinate with clients, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Depending on grade, you will lead road geometry, drainage, and road safety schemes, using Civils 3D, OpenRoads, and InfoDrainage. Chartered or Incorporated status is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Relevant knowledge and experience of highway design and/or drainage systems through all project stages.
• Experience leading design disciplines in road/public transport projects is advantageous.
• Familiarity with design codes such as DMRB, Manual for Streets, TSRGD and local authority guidance.
• Ability to prepare drawings for contract documentation and technical approvals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver highway design projects from feasibility to construction.
• Manage multi-disciplinary inputs and coordinate teams to meet scope, time, and budget.
• Liaise with clients, develop trusted relationships, and manage expectations.
• Prepare fee proposals and manage project budgets.
• Oversee delivery of design drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
