Job summary

MarketStar is seeking a Technical Account Manager for Education to support universities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will act as the primary technical contact, driving adoption of Google Workspace for Education and guiding institutions through IT environments and priorities.

You will troubleshoot, provide best-practice recommendations, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues while maintaining strong relationships with university stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in a customer-facing technical role or IT support
• Experience administering Google Workspace or similar enterprise collaboration platform
• Strong knowledge of Google Workspace Admin Console, user provisioning, policy management and security controls
• Experience with email routing and authentication technologies (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Familiarity with command-line tools or scripting for Google Workspace administration (e.g. Google Apps Script, GAM)
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to varied audiences
• Experience supporting IT in educational institutions (Higher Ed/FE/School)
• Knowledge of EdTech and LMS ecosystems; privacy requirements including GDPR
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical point of contact for Higher Education institutions and understand their IT environments
• Own and manage resolution of technical issues and escalations related to Google Workspace for Education
• Communicate clearly with customers and manage expectations during troubleshooting
• Collaborate with internal support teams for timely incident resolution
• Provide guidance on Google Workspace best practices and security configurations
• Respond to technical queries related to Google Admin Console and tools
• Collaborate on technical documentation and knowledge articles
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to knowledge base improvements
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders to support adoption of Google Workspace services
• Stay informed on cloud collaboration trends and data privacy requirements in HE
