Job summary

Colas Ireland is seeking an HGV Driver/Operative to support delivery of bitumen distribution and road‑maintenance work. You’ll make sure customers get timely, safe and reliable service while helping the business meet quality, health & safety and environmental standards.

You will operate and maintain trucks, carry out deliveries, complete daily vehicle checks and assist with site tasks. You may be moved between crews or sites as needed, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold the relevant HGV licence or operator card.
• Fluent English, with good communication skills.
• Willing to attend training and follow safety rules.
• Strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain trucks and road-maintenance equipment.
• Carry out deliveries and complete daily vehicle/plant checks.
• Load materials, clean equipment and assist on site tasks.
• Complete paperwork and report incidents using company devices.
• Follow site rules and PPE requirements; may move between crews.
• Support traffic management and general housekeeping as needed.
