Job summary

Colas Ireland is recruiting a HGV Driver/General Operative who holds a full C Class Ireland licence to join Colas Group and support road maintenance across the network near Nenagh.

The role combines driving with practical maintenance tasks, such as signage, drainage and barrier repairs, litter control and routine inspections. It requires physical fitness and 24/7 standby availability, with a competitive total package described above.

Qualifications

• Full C Class Ireland driving licence required.
• Ability to cope with standby rotas 24/7/365.
• Willingness to perform manual maintenance tasks.
• Live within 30 minutes of Nenagh.

Responsibilities

• Drive a range of vehicles for maintenance duties.
• Perform maintenance works to a high standard on roads.
• Carry out grass cutting, drainage repairs, fence/barrier work.
• Set up and operate traffic management systems.
• Complete record sheets and paperwork per procedures.
• Observe and promote health and safety.
• Support incident response and watchman duties.
• Assist the public and colleagues as required.
• Carry out additional appropriate tasks.
