Job summary

Choice Stores in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, is seeking an HGV driver for our distribution centre and stores. The role includes daily deliveries/collections, warehouse duties, and responsibilities across a 40-hour work week, with shifts across 5 days.

Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence required.
• C licence held for at least 1 year.
• CPC and Digital tachograph card required.
• Familiarity with the Irish roads network.
• Good spoken English and customer service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Flexible start times and work as part of a team.
• Complete daily vehicle checks.
• Make timely deliveries and collections.
• Unload/load with ability to work on own initiative.
• Maintain and return all delivery paperwork.
• Handle order picking and general warehouse tasks.
• Follow instructions from the Line Manager.

Due to Company expansion we are currently recruiting for a HGV driver to join our team in Ashbourne, Co. Meath. As part of the duties you would be expected to work in our distribution centre also.

Daily Responsibilities

• Be flexible in relation to start times
• To work as part of a team
• Completing Daily Vehicle Check Sheets
• To make on time deliveries and collections daily
• Ability to unload and load vehicle
• To be able to Work on your own initiative
• Maintain & return all paperwork associated with deliveries/collections
• Picking of orders
• General warehouse work
• Any other tasks delegated from your Line Manager

To apply for this position Drivers must meet the following criteria

• Full Clean Drivers' License
• Have held a full C license for a minimum of 1 year
• Valid Drivers CPC and Digital card required
• Be familiar with the Irish Roads network
• Good communicate skills and ability to communicate in spoken English
• Previous multi drop experience and an excellent customer service attitude
• Manual handing and Forklift cert desirable
