Job summary

Colas Ireland is seeking a hands-on Driver/General Operative to join the team. You will drive when qualified and perform a range of road maintenance tasks, from grass cutting to drainage repairs, with a focus on safety.

A full Ireland driving licence is essential, and you must live within a 30-minute commute of Ennis. The package includes a €16.60 hourly rate, subsistence allowances, overtime premiums, a winter standby allowance of €1,400 and an on-call allowance of €4,160.

Qualifications

• Hold a full Ireland driving licence.
• Be physically fit to perform demanding manual duties.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles as part of maintenance duties (when qualified).
• Perform road maintenance tasks on motorways and roads.
• Carry out grass/hedge cutting, drainage repairs, fence and barrier work.
• Set up and operate traffic management systems.
• Complete paperwork and follow company procedures.
