Job summary

KDM Hire Ireland is seeking an experienced HGV driver to safely transport and collect equipment across sites in Ireland. You will perform pre/post inspections, secure loads, and communicate with the transport team to coordinate deliveries. The role requires reliability, a good driving record, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Hours are Mon–Thu 7:30am–5pm and Fri 7:30am–4pm with occasional overtime. Location: Watergrasshill, Co. Cork.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Licence (Category CE) and Driver Qualification Card.
• Digi Card and CPC up-to-date.
• Previous HGV driving experience preferred.
• Self-motivated with flexibility to work.
• Ability to use navigation systems and apps.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused mindset.
• Able to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive HGVs to transport equipment to/from locations, loading/unloading as required.
• Conduct pre- and post-inspections of equipment.
• Secure loads and adhere to safety standards.
• Coordinate deliveries by communicating with transport, customers and colleagues.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.

Job description

Join our team as a skilled and reliable HGV Driver! In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the delivery and collection of equipment to and from customer sites.

What You Will Do

• Safely drive HGV’s to transport equipment to and from designated locations including the loading and unloading of the equipment.
• Conduct pre and post-inspections of equipment in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Secure loads properly and safely for transport, adhering to relevant safety standards and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the transport department, customers, and colleagues to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.

What You Will Need

• Valid HGV Driver Licence (Category CE) and Driver Qualification Card.
• Up-to-Date Digi Card and CPC.
• Previous experience operating HGV vehicles, preferably in a similar role or industry.
• Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work.
• Ability to operate navigation systems and applications.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
