Job summary

Colas Ireland is recruiting a HGV Driver/General Operative who holds a HGV licence to join Colas Group and help keep our roads safe and reliable. This is a hands-on role; driving between sites is required, but the core tasks are maintenance work on the network, including signing, barrier and drainage repairs.

You will perform grass and hedge trimming, gully cleaning, litter control and routine inspections, set up traffic management, and complete required records.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV licence and be able to drive between sites.
• Ability to carry out hands-on road maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Willingness to work in demanding physical conditions and standby rotas.

Responsibilities

• Drive a range of vehicles as part of maintenance duties.
• Carry out grass/hedge cutting, drainage repairs and barrier work.
• Set up traffic management and complete required paperwork.
