Job summary

The Hardiman in Galway is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the on-site maintenance team and safeguard the hotel’s historic fabric and modern facilities. You will oversee preventive and reactive maintenance, ensuring guest areas and back-of-house spaces operate safely and efficiently.

We value strong technical knowledge, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance management or a senior maintenance role.
• Strong technical knowledge with hands-on problem-solving ability.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and motivate the maintenance team daily.
• Plan and oversee preventive and reactive maintenance across the hotel.
• Ensure plant, equipment, bedrooms and public areas are well maintained.
• Coordinate external contractors and manage service schedules.
