Advance TRS is recruiting a Health, Safety & Environmental Assistant on behalf of our client to support the delivery of the €265m West Apron Vehicle Underpass project at Dublin Airport.
This opportunity would suit an established construction safety professional looking to bring their experience to a major infrastructure scheme within a live airport environment.
Our client is an international engineering and construction group delivering major infrastructure projects worldwide.
You’ll join the project’s Health & Safety Team on a technically complex scheme involving the construction of an underpass beneath an existing runway and taxiways. With completion scheduled for 2030, the project offers the opportunity to contribute to a significant programme of infrastructure delivery.
Reporting directly to the project’s Health & Safety Manager, you’ll work closely with construction managers, supervisors and subcontractors to support safe planning and delivery.
This is a practical, site-based position combining inspections, safe systems of work, workforce engagement and incident investigation support. Despite the Assistant title, our client requires at least five years’ construction experience in a similar role.
You’ll be a proactive construction H&S professional with experience working within a civils project team. You’ll be comfortable engaging with site personnel, identifying issues and working with supervisors to achieve practical improvements.
Essential requirements include:
Strong communication, listening and negotiation skills will be important, alongside sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
You should be confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, OneDrive and Teams, and have good numeracy and problem-solving skills.
Technical IOSH membership or higher is desirable.
