Job summary

Sacyr UK and Ireland invites a Health & Safety Environmental Assistant to join the West Apron Vehicle Underpass project at Dublin Airport. You will support the Health & Safety Team to meet obligations, with direct reporting to the H&S Manager.

The role emphasizes site-based risk assessments, SSoW development, inductions, and ongoing safety improvements. The role requires NEBOSH certification (General or Diploma), 5+ years in construction, and full driving license.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Construction Safety and Health required or diploma equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of construction experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in MS Office suite and online collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the construction team managers with safe systems of work (SSoW) and risk assessments.
• Advise on actions to obtain or develop SSoW for planned works.
• Support development of works plans (Logistics Plans, Traffic Management Plans).
• Assist with workforce enrolment and site induction processes.
• Ensure employees have appropriate training and qualifications.
• Conduct health and safety inspections and audits and follow up actions.
• Attend and support health and safety meetings.
• Deliver toolbox talks and briefings.
• Support incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers vital to project success.
• Develop and test best practices and tools for project execution.
