Job summary

The Recruitment Company is seeking a Head of IT in Ireland to lead an experienced IT team and own a broad technology environment. You will drive a shift from reactive IT to a proactive, commercially focused partner across infrastructure, data, security and platforms.

Key focus areas include budget management, contract governance, supplier oversight, and leveraging MS technologies (Azure, Power Platform) to deliver value.

Qualifications

• Broad technical credibility across apps, data, cloud or infrastructure.
• Strong Microsoft tech exposure, ideally Azure and Power Platform.
• Ability to lead, develop and energise an IT team.
• Commercial curiosity around tech spend, suppliers and contracts.
• Credibility to engage senior business stakeholders.
• Hands-on ownership mentality with a practical approach.
• Experience using tech to improve processes, automate activity or create business value.
• ERP experience is important, but SAP specifically is not essential.
• Experience of M&A/integration, AI, data advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead an experienced IT team and set strategic direction.
• Own a broad technology environment including infrastructure, cyber, data and resilience.
• Move IT from reactive to proactive, aligning with business partners.
• Oversee budgets, contracts and supplier relationships.
• Support future acquisitions from due diligence to tech integration.
