Job summary

The Panel is seeking an experienced developer-lead for an on-site role in the Midlands, with travel across Ireland and Europe. You will modernise legacy systems, design robust relational databases, and mentor a small development team to deliver value to business users.

Ideal candidates combine strong SQL skills with Azure experience and a track record of integrating finance/ERP and reporting platforms. Hybrid travel-ready professionals are welcome.

Job description

Permanent | Midlands | On-site (4 day office / @1 day/week from home)

What the role needs:

• Good SQL and solid relational database design (Azure SQL ideal).
• A track record of modernising legacy systems and integrating them with finance, ERP and reporting platforms.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small development team.
• The ability to work directly with business users and turn requirements into supportable solutions.

Also useful:

• Azure (App Services, Azure SQL) and GitHub-based workflows.
• Integrating with finance or ERP systems (e.g. SAP Business One) or AP automation.
• Multi-tenant or multi-company systems, and onboarding acquisitions onto a shared platform.
• Working under formal change control or in an audited environment.

This role can be lead through to head of technology, depending on the candidate. It is On-site in the Midlands, with some travel across Ireland and, later, Europe.
